Just fantastic! there are so many things to learn from other people. Culture, ways of doing everyday things… and the best one… food!

Really rewarding, I have learnt so much about different cultures, how people celebrate holidays, we had a day when people all brought in a traditional dish from where they were from. It was great fun.

That old phrase, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts… so true for science! The more people we have, from as many backgrounds as possible, the more likely we are to succeed at a particular task. It can be daunting asking for help (especially if you don’t know the person) but its how you get the best answers.

It’s great fun, especially if they are different types of scientists. I work with astronomers, astrophysicists, environmental scientists and toxicologists… all of whom I enjoy learning new stuff from. In fact, it is often those areas of science where different disciplines come together that are the most interesting and exciting.

I really like that I work with people from all over the world who are united in their search for universal truths, rather than being distracted by what may make us different.
