• Question: Where there any times when you weren't interested in science?

      No, fortunately I have been interested in science for as long as I can remember.

      I was always interested in finding out how things work… even as young as 3 or 4, I was taking apart plugs and stuff and putting them back to together to figure out how my bedside light worked. When Rubik’s cubes were the rage, I took mine apart to see how it work rather than manipulating it to get the equally colour faces. Ok it took longer but I learned more.

      Yes I fact I was a librarian for 2 years after my degree. At that point I was fed up with chemistry but having the time away really made me appreciate why I picked it as a subject in the first place. A science degree opens many doors so if you decide its not for you you have options. I’m back to liking science now but in 10 years time I might want to do something different and that ok!
