We have just got a labrador puppy called Mavis, she is 12 weeks old, and a little menace! She joins our two guinea pigs, Links and Lorne who are just over a year old! We love them all! 🙂

We have 2 gerbils, Moka and Koko. I had a goldfish growing up, for like a month before it died, but that was it. My parents were not really interested in pets
When I met my fiancee, she had grown up with all sorts; dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, sheep…
She encouraged me to try an animal experience, which reminded me of how much I had loved animals growing up, just never as a pet. As a compromise, we got gerbils first, as they are good starter pets, so I could see what it is like before being thrown in at the deep end. I love them both deeply, and the couple of times they have been injured has broken my heart.
My fiancee is now angling for a cat next, which I agree with, on the condition that Chinchillas follow. They are so floofy and adorable.

When I was young, my parents had a dog. My wife and I have guinea pigs at the moment. But we’ll probably get a dog… a Sheltie … when we retire.

I am owned by an enormous black cat called Pickles. He’s missing a top fang because somehow he face planted a wall last summer and snapped it, and he’s got a wonky eye after being hit by a car.

When I was younger, I had some goldfish. I remember they were in a small tank next to my bed – when I couldn’t sleep, I sometimes used to just watch them swimming around, to try and help me get to sleep. We also had dogs – we’re a family of dog-lovers! We had two lovely cocker spaniels who were both brilliant pets. My parents now have another dog – an adorable little scottish terrier. We also had some parrots too – my parents had to be careful what they said, as the parrots soon learned to copy them!

I have a pet cat at the moment, but I get to go on regular dog walks – they’re good company too. In the past we’ve kept rabbits and chickens. I think the cat has been the easiest to look after though, and they’re my favourite.

I hope you are luckier than I was, because my parents wouldn’t allow me to have pets at all so I had to live with some FISH! Is there something more boring than a fish as I pet? Don’t think so

When I was younger, I had two hamsters. They were super cute – one very chill and friendly, the other always looking for adventures! I can’t have a pet in my current flat, but would love a pet bunny!

Growing up I had a black labrador but currently I only have some stick insects that my kids help me look after. When I was at University, I used to keep praying mantids. They’re not very cuddly but they are pretty cool – like something out of science fiction.

I don’t have a pet at the moment, but I want a dog! My family had lots of pets growing up, including dogs, cats and even some pet rats.
